HUGE SHIFT CHANGE IN CONSULTANCY CULTURE, SAYS MCA

MCA statement in response to EOS Consulting interview, BBC Today Programme

Commenting on the interview with EOS on the culture of consulting, Tamzen Isacsson, MCA Chief Executive, said:

“There has been a huge shift in culture to ensure more diversity and work/life balance in the consultancy sector in the UK. “Macho culture” is completely unacceptable and firms have strong policies and codes of conduct in place to eradicate such behaviour if it exists.  There is regular monitoring of staff welfare as well as the hours teams work and feedback mechanisms are in place to ensure poor behaviour is dealt with quickly. In addition, firms are working with clients to align with their values and ethics. Firms offer competitive salaries, sociable hours of work and continued professional development in order to attract the best talent”
