The MCA today (6/3/14) hosted a special conference on women and management consulting to mark 2014’s International Women’s Day.
Consulting: is the future female? brought together many MCA member firms with clients and other interested parties to debate the future for women in consulting, and the steps that consulting firms are taking to open up more routes to the top for female consultants.
Chaired by Margaret Doyle of Deloitte, the conference featured a keynote speech from Rachel Barton of Accenture. A panel discussion heard from leading consultants Lesley Wilkin of Hay Group, Claire Kennedy of PPL Ltd and Rachel Sanders of AECOM. A report of the conference will be published shortly.
Alan Leaman, CEO of the MCA, said: “We are delighted to be hosting an event on this important topic to mark International Women’s Day. This is a key issue for many of our member firms and for the reputation of consulting with clients and the wider public.”
