Katie Davidson, NECS Consultancy

Team Leader Consultant of the Year Finalist 2019

I believe I should win the MCA award for Team Leader Consultant of the Year for three key reasons:

  1. I have built a professional consultancy culture and positive working environment in a newly established consultancy team – supporting the professional growth of my fellow consultant colleagues while ensuring both a strong financial and operational outcome to the business. This has already proven successful in both the successful client delivery and financial sustainability of the Yorkshire practice.
  2. I have a depth of healthcare consultancy industry expertise and I am recognised for this by clients and peers. I have used this platform to upskill others and share my knowledge and experiences. I have presented at national conferences (e.g. NHS Expo) in conjunction with clients, and prepared briefing and presentations for senior client executives and national directors.
  3. I have remained true to my personal and professional values which I believe is an important attribute in a team leader. I made a conscious decision to move into a NHS owned and consultancy organisation – to provide a more cost effective, transparent and sustainable way to support the development and delivery of consultancy projects and capabilities from within the healthcare sector.
