Inclusion Award

MCA Awards 2024 FinalistHaving grown up in South London, my life has been a tapestry woven with contrasting threads of working and middle-class environments. Raised in a council house in Croydon, I navigated the intricacies of attending a private school whilst living in a poverty-stricken area. This unique upbringing not only shaped my character, but also exposed me to the disparities in society.

I observed the consequences of the socio-economic divide, particularly in the context of crime and imprisonment, and more broadly, the difference between those in my professional and personal life. This realisation fuelled my motivation to become a visible advocate, with George Floyd’s tragic murder supercharging my passion as the global spotlight intensified on issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I). I emerged as a beacon of change, proactively championing improved inclusivity within my firm, my client environments and society.

At Moorhouse Consulting, I am known to continuously stand up for inclusion with passion, dedication, and strategic vision even when no-one is watching. By leveraging my expertise and influence among stakeholders at all levels, I have been instrumental in driving tangible progress towards greater diversity and inclusion. As such, I am often described as empowering and developing colleagues, ensuring they feel listened to and seen.
