LCP Consulting and Argos scoop top prize at MCA Awards

LCP Consulting and Argos have won the outstanding Project of the Year Award at the 2016 MCA (Management Consultancies Association) Awards, held this evening (21st April) at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge. The project saw LCP Consulting playing a key role with Argos to design and successfully implement an innovative “Hub & Spoke” supply chain solution, unlike anything delivered elsewhere in UK retail.

The LCP Consulting and Argos project also won the MCA Award for Commercial Excellence Category and were shortlisted within the Innovation Category.

The night was hugely successful for a number of firms. Deloitte picked up awards for four individual consultants and two projects, while GE Healthcare Finnamore had two individual consultants honoured and won the award for Change Management in the Public Sector. Twelve separate consulting firms were winners on the night with KPMG and CSC both picking up two awards. Public Sector consultancy firm Prederi won Best New Consultancy of the Year.

Mark Epps of Deloitte was the winner of The Times Award for Consultant of the Year for his work in leading an international programme to identify significant savings across a major European media provider's entire business model.

Alan Leaman, Chief Executive of the MCA, said: “This year’s winners demonstrated the positive impact of high-quality consulting projects on the lives and work of millions of people, whether as customers, patients, taxpayers or employees. It was an outstanding set of entries.”

LCP Consulting and Argos

Working with Argos at all levels of the organisation over three years, LCP Consulting helped shape the retailer’s supply strategy, refining the model through a large scale pilot and implementation – the largest change programme the organisation has ever launched. The results are being seen in increased customer satisfaction and demand, improved business performance and best-in-class industry awards – and have led to one of the biggest retail transformations in the UK and Europe.

The MCA Awards were judged by an independent expert panel of judges with experience of working in the private and public sectors, universities, consultancy and journalism.
